Re: MIELKO First Generation Civic SB1 Project from holland

And a big failure
watch many youtubes on how to connect the rods to the piston.
made a jig
made spacer to make sure the piston pin is centered.
started heating
You have to be so enormeus quick ,and ended up with 4 non completely fit pins....
Let the project rest for a day ...to start again
Wow That's Funny, the pins are solid in the piston
why?????
pressed the pins out again....and killed the pistonpin bore in the piston
so by by piston
I'm going to visit a specialist to ask what i have done wrong...and order a new set of pistons.......

As well as heating the rods you want to freeze the pins.
Why don't you bush the little ends of the rods so they aren't an interference fit?

Today started on my thermostat housing.I bought a random thermostat and made a holder in the lathe ,some welding end caps will do the top and bottom
I ordered new pstons in Japan, the should be on there way.
I'l go to the shop where they machined the motor, and hopefuly they will let me do the mounting under their supervision.

Nice job!
What do you mean, " vacumm gallery"? Are you connecting all the runner together or just something for your brake booster?
Could you have built a remote thermostat housing instead?
