I'm back working on my car again. I had the engine overheat a few years ago and cracked the head. I got a new head and had it rebuilt and tried to hone the cylinders. The result was 2 unacceptably low compression cylinders and 2 marginal. After going back and forth between getting the engine rebuilt and buying a used one, I decided to pull it and rebuild it myself. I was already .50mm over so I was looking for .75 over. One of my best deals of all time came when I found 4 pistons, rings sets and pins on line auctions for under $80 CND delivered. I've had the block bored and have just finished installing the pistons. (side note: using the ring compressor I used to do my last rebuild circa 1987. Back when you could go to Honda and have your pick of parts).

Steve's 1976 Honda Civic Restoration Project
I've been doing some more work over the last couple of weeks and I thought it was time to add some photos.
I needed to add an air/fuel meter so I can get the webers dialed in. I used a console that I think Bill sold me out of an 84 Hyundai Exel to mount it. While I was at it, I added an autometer clock and 4 usb ports. I needed somewhere to hook it all into so I installed a couple of fuse blocks from Princessauto. One is switched and one has continuous 12v. I hate that all the new cars only have power to the cigarette lighters when the key is on. I also finished a set of speaker cabinets I built long ago. It was always hard to get a speaker to clear the seat back and angle the sound forward. These solve that problem (even if they take up most of the hatch).
The engine is installed and will almost start but one of the carburetors is leaking and I suspect they both need a good cleaning. The next thing on the list is to get it running and get the webers rejetted.
