Hi all... New Pics...
I'm new to the 1st Gen site, but not to the old Civic's. I started racing them with the SCCA in the Southeast US back in the early 80's when AT Engineering, King Honda, and Jackson Racing was supplying performance enhancers for the little 1237...
The car was built by Triad Auto Specialty in Greensboro, NC and a lot of love and labor was involved. The car was raced in the Nationals, Southeast Division, Solo 1 all over the east coast by my brother, I then purchased it and ran it successfully in Solo I, Solo II for several years.
I am currently restoring my 76 Civic to give to my son for autocrossing. Here are a few of its features:
Civic wagon brakes and knuckles
Adjustable shock towers
Koni inserts
adjustable sway bars
Full fiberglass flared fenders front and rear
full roll cage
Msd ignition
Distributor relocated off of the end of the camshaft
Venolia domed forged pistons
4 Keihin sidedraft CR special carburetor
Bassani full flow header (the one that routes on the outside of the gravel pan)
baffled oil pan
King Honda upper RPM race camshaft
Mugen limited slip differential
Panasport race wheels with Goodyear slicks that fill the fenderwells
The little car is a torque monster that has seen years of Solo 1 and Solo 2 events including the Chimney Rock Hillclimb for many years in NC before it was stopped.
Im looking forward to seeing and reading about other 1st Gen Honda owners as they fix up these great little cars.

I have started stripping the car down... preparing to prime and paint.... motor had antifreeze in cylinders for several years... machining new block and replacing Venolia pistons... replacing all brake components... rewiring and tossing old harness... I rebuilt the carburetor... I will post other tasks as I get to them.....
