Originated from the JDM SB-1 Civic the 'Civic RS' which stood for Road Sailing Engine: - '81 1600cc EL (Canadian Non CVCC) Prelude/Accord motor - 82-83 GK 5 speed transmission (cable clutch) - Shadbolt reground cam - A/T Engineering intake manifold - Dual Dellortoa DHLA 40 Side draft carbs (with 32mm chokes) - Pace Setter header - 2" exhaust (non mandrel) to Dynamax muffler - Mallory 6A CD ignition - MSD Blaster SS coil - MSD tach adapter Interior (modifications): - Prelude seats - floor sprayed with truck bed liner for added protection and sound deadening - Deluxe gauges (tach, seperate fuel/temp pod) with custom white faces - Modified Type R aluminum pedals - Honda dealer accessory leather steering wheel - Momo shift nob - Optional Overhead console and Pioneer Honda roof mounted speakers - Am/Fm Honda radio (trunk models had no stereo) - Wood grain on dash replaced with faux carbon fibre - New black carpet - Intermittent wipers added from 1st gen Accord - New door and trunk seals Exterior: - '97 VW Golf "bright surf metallic green" paint (European only?) - '77 all chrome bumpers fitted to '78 bumper shocks with stock filler panels - '77 hood and grill - all red tail lights (73-77) - Shaved rear marker lights from quarter panels - Shaved reverse lights - Grill mounted turn signals removed and front side markers re-wired for turn signals - Hella H4 head lights - Shelby 13 x 5.5 aluminum wheels - chrome bullet mirrors - All emblems Shaved - complete under carriage and fenders undercoated Brakes & Suspension: - stock brakes (all rebuilt) with custom brembo cross drilled rotors - stock suspension with cut springs (2 inches) - A/T Engineering front and rear sway bars
