Today I'm on a shopping spree for parts for my Civic. I'm going to pick up some needed missing parts for my 78 Civic 1200 from a person the board here.
Getting a heater box, bumper struts, grille, and a chrome trim piece.
Also buying a donor car. I'm buying this, And putting this, in here. I was already given a motor for the project, but a lot of stuff was missing, such as the exhaust manifold, distributor, and the computer. So by buying a complete car, I get all that and can test the motor while running. Plus I'm gonna use the entire wiring harness in my 78 Civic.
The transmission in the donor car has a hydraulic clutch, I'm gonna be using a cable activated clutch in my swap. Which I happened to get for Christmas! My wife was not thrilled to find out the big heavy present under the tree was a "dirty old transmission" that my son got me.
It came out of a 88 CRX Si.
I can really start tearing into this project, now that I have most of the major components.

Started stripping the parts car today. What a better way to spend new years day?
Started with the wiring harness today. I'm pulling the entire wiring harness from the 93 Civic donor car, and using it in the 78 Civic. Including the wiring all the way back to the tail lights. I'm just labeling everything as I unplug it so I'll know where to lay it out in the car.
