This is a must have for custom jobs, like mounting electric fuel pump on the rear underside of the car, etc.

...incidentally, it was at the bottom of the page of something I bought on line auctions in the "Things other people bought who bought the same item as you" section. I always look now, because it suggests tools I need and want before I actually will need them. I know it's effectively impulse buying, but I've yet to regret a purchase...quite the opposite, I always check for new 'suggestions', and this one solved an issue like I couldn't have imagined... mounting the fuel pump. I won't be hard mounting it, but this will make suspending it look professional, and not just a backyard solution, like TEK screws for example.

new acquisition to my fast expanding range of tools is a vibratory polisher + stainless mixed media + burnishing compound = polishing parts like hood/hood latch before chrome plating. I can polish the externals, but this will allow me to get, at the very least, a passable chrome finish on the inners of the hood latch, and other parts I've been obsessing over. I'll bead blast the parts first, to remove all impurities, then let the part live inside the polisher for 6-8 hours for a near perfect finish... I love this shhit... :D

...did I mention I will be doing this fulltime for the next 3 months?

I have 2 motorcycles to finish in the same time, but the Civic is my main focus.

Most people don't get the opportunity to do this sort of thing until they retire, so I'm fully appreciating just how lucky I am. :)

Plus, by the time I do reach the 'retiring' age, I'll be a real expert... you know, like Bill and Justin, for example. I found out what Justin does for a living, and now I understand how tapped in to the custom scene he is. That's a BIG $$$ scene, and one that I can't afford to join at present (you think I'm spending big dollars, you should see the invoices from a build like Justin's latest creation!!!). My participation will have to be achieved through the process of whittling down stock aluminium parts into polished masterpieces. What I lack in dollars, I'll make up for with sheer, obsessive compulsive effort. Plus, if you can't buy it off the shelf, nobody else will have the same parts... still, I'd love to do a $100,000 build, like get completely lost in the process for a year or two! LOL!
