Looks great. Nice attention to detail too. Its all the little bits and bobs that are done well, once its back together it will look amazing. :wink:

I thought I'd make more progress on my engine install than I have. Currently, 2 10 mm lock nuts are slowing things down .
I hope to have them tomorrow morning.
The ones I have are to far gone to re-use.
They attach the A-pipe to the mainfold.

I refinished the non flexible part of the A-pipe with some VHT high temp ceramic paint. Looks better than all the rust. :)

Once again looking good. I am interested to see how the paint on the exhaust will hold up, I will soon be faced with the same task of what to do with the exhaust on my project as well.
Every old car deserves a second chance!

I tried some years ago and truthfully its temporary on the exhaust parts. It seems to slowly fade away until its gone. Weird I know but it does hold up for about a 'season' of driving :)

That's kinda the answer I was expecting to hear :roll: that ceramic coating would be nice tho :D

If you ever need the pipe to manifold nuts any VW shop will have them in stock, with the 17mm socket size.

The nuts can be had through Honda, albeit a little pricey.
Quite a difference between new and rusty. :)
Got to get back to the install - too much procrastinating. :lol:
