Jonathan's 1979 Honda Civic CVCC Restoration

The car came to me from my Grandfather, he bought it new in 1979. He always had a second car, so this one didn't build up too many miles, 51k since new. It had always been garaged up until I got it in April of 2002.

Recent picture above are with new tires, Sumitomo HTR200 205/60-13's. The car feels quite different with the new tires, compared to the 15+ year old ones that were on there. I'm going to feel much safer going onto the highway with the car now

The starter broke on it in 1997, so it sat in his garage until last year. I put a new starter in, topped off the gas tank, and it started on the first try. The only non-stock items on the car that I can see are the chrome window shades. Short term plans for the car are insurance and license plates, long term plans are a complete restoration. These cars don't exist by me anymore, they rusted out because of all the salt used on the roads during the winter.
