Restoration 1979 Honda Civic 1200 Pictures

hey guys,

i enjoy looking at people's restoration progress and figure others probably do as well.

I got this car in the summer of 2011, it was in pretty rough shape, unfortunately i lost the pictures of when i got it home...only have pics when i had already started the dismantle.

Thanks to you guys i was able to track down a strut (which was very hard) and special thanks to Chris in Langley who helped with alot of parts

I am by no means a body man, so to a body mans standards it probably wont be to par but im happy with it!

I did the body work myself, and even gave painting a shot! The guy at Lordo told me that i will probably get a decent orange peel effect if i didnt wet sand it... the plan was to wet sand.... but then i got lazy, lol. I figure it looks good as is.

I planned to spray paint then clear, but after realizing the need for 2 guns and all that jazz i went with a single stage paint. The goal was to have it San Remo Green, but after seeing the color i went with a newer color that was very similiar ( 68 Mustang lime/gold)

I did paint the inside by the roof and such but i went with a charcoal grey to better fit with the black interior.

The car looked so good when I saw it, I bought it right away. So now I know what it looked like during the resto. You did a very good job.If you ever find the pictures of the before the resto please send them to me... you have my email address (I hope). I hooked up with Justin and some of the boys at that Ladner Car Show this past summer.
