There's plenty of talk about the Koni adjustables, but I've got a lead on a full set of KYB's for the 74 civic for only 89.00 USD.

Don't know much about them other than they are Japanese, and bolt right in. I don't think they are adjustable though.

The key here is whether they are hydraulic (oil) or Gas. KYB made them both. Both are good... better than stock. Driving habits and purpose will determine which ones are better for you.
