TED BEWARE!
Rear struts for a 78-79 CVCC mount very similar to the front struts on your 74 1200, they slip into a big sleeve and are tightened by a big bolt.
The rear struts for a 1200 have a completely different mounting. Look at the image of the KYBs that I had for sale. That is what your rears should look like.
So..... To make a long story short, I don't think that those struts will fit your 1200.
;)

As far as I know, the 1200 struts (rear) are all the same. The rear 1500(CVCC) struts are the ones which are different...they slip into the rear stubaxle housings and are pinch-bolted aka Accord and 2nd Gen. Civic. I think that the entire rear assembly might fit a 1200, but you'd have to use all the 1500(CVCC) parts...compare the factory drawings you'll see what I mean.

The rear struts from a '75 CVCC bolted right onto my '76 1200. Am I missing something?

No Tim, you are right, the later CVCCs (78-79) are the goofy ones.

So it sounds like the 78-79 CVCC's will not fit, but the item number was off by just one to what quickrick was selling, so I thought they might be a match. The guy selling them on ebay has tons of others, so I may just send him into his warehouse to search out my parts. Bottom line is they must be threaded so I can put inserts into them later.
