I HAVE A 93 CIVIC WHICH I THINK HAS A BLOWN HEAD GASKET. IT RUNS FINE WHEN I FIRST START IT UP. THERE IS A BIT OF WHITE SMOKE IN THE EXHAUST. AFTER ABOUT 10 MINS., IT WILL START TO IDLE ROUGH
AND THE WHITE SMOKE WILL BILLOW OUT. IT SEEMS TO USE A BIT OF COOLANT ALSO. ANY COMMENTS?
THANKS,
MIKE

Don't drive it!! The coolant will break down the lubricating properties of the oil and you will glaze and score the walls and eat at your bearings. And don't wait too long before you get it fixed, the rings could/will rust in the cylinders. Find out why it blew. Did it overheat? if so check the thermosenors that kick the fan on. Ohter wise you could run into the same problem after the head fix.
