I am a novice mechanic and I am removing the enginge from a 78 1200. Everything is unhooked except the starter motor. My book says to remove it and shows two bolts and the location, but I cannot locate the lower bolt. Your probably laughing and I dont blame you, but I would appreciate some advice.
Thanks

the lower bolt can be seen to the gear case end of the started motor. one end is visible and the other end is hidden under the large magnetic switch that mounts on the side in the casing for the pinon.
