If you guys find the Australian Fast Fours & Rotaries Magazine over in the states BUY IT... Anthony Stewart and Jason Prescotts White First Generation Civic are in it...

Their cars sport some cool features such as NOS, quad carbies, mugen everthing, EW2 1.5l motors fantastic reading, well worth buying...

You should be able to view them on www.Fastfours.com.au
I haven't checked if they've been posted there yet, but they should be eventually.
There are not many civs as well thought out and executed as these two.

Latest HOT4s has a 1st Gen featuring City turbo power as seen on Charles' website! Good to see some city turbo power in HOT4s, the second time ive seen it.

dont bother getting fast fours and rotaries to look at Anthony's and Jasons civic's cause there slow as. instead buy the latest hot4's. It has a civic with a city turbo moter, which is running 15psi,a water to air intercooler and many other interesting bits. Also who gives a shit if their is a nos bottle in one of the cars it isnt connected as it is illegal to have it connected in Australia, unless it is being used for racing (which those civics would really suck at!!!!).

So to who ever wrote in to encourage people to by the issue of fast fours & rotaries (which is actually just called fast fours) perhaps mayby you should take into account that those cars got beaten by a city turbo powered civic that has had nowhere near as much money spent on it and isnt even running 15psi its running 9psi with a little piazza intercooler not a water to air intercooler.

I don't see why your so upset mr. ....... Anonymous.I think he was just telling all of us about a couple of 1stG civic's in a mag. What's the big problem? And who cares which civic's are faster?????Many of us will never use a city turbo so why would the city turbo car be a better read up for some of us????????

Mr/Ms Anonymous: If you're going to go around abusing people and their cars, at least learn to spell and use correct grammar while you're at it, otherwise it just makes you look like more of a goose than you already do. Hiding behind "Anonymous" is a pretty big cop out. Come on, if you're prepared to abuse people at least do it under your own name. Or are you too frightened to let us all see who you are?
The only form of "racing" nos is likely to be legal in is drag racing and as far as I'm concerned that's not real racing. When you say "those civics would really suck" at racing, what are you referring to? Drags, circuit racing, road racing (bloody stupid) or what? You're not very specific.
Also when you say they "got beaten by a city turbo powered civic", beaten in what way? The thing you seem to be doing is comparing two naturally aspirated cars to a turbo car - not really a very fair comparison in my book.

You guys, pay no attention to this boy.

He's no doubt a pimply-faced poser that drives a turbo-rice with a 5 inch exhaust to compensate for his 2 inch member! LOL

If we ignore him, maybe he will go away.

that fat sack of shit is just jealous of some of the cars you guys have got and hes stuck with 120y or something
if you dont like civic's don't waist everyones time here and PISS OFF

geez, i hope i didn't start something here...'Anonymous' if you're going to post your opinion on a board such as this, have some respect for the people that are to read it. All three civics that have been featured recently have been top cars, that's why they were featured. Funny that isn't it?... :)

Dear mr anonymous,

You obviously missed the point. Of course there will always be a faster cars out there. People who build cars properly do not always just go for the fastest car availible. I would hazard a guess and say that the civic with a city turbo engine is not anywhere near as well set up as these two civics. The magazine article did not do them justice. They are actually setup to handle well, brake well and go well. A bit better than just slamming in an engine and dragging everything in sight. That is if you were able to put it in yourself.

Firstly, I have also owned a turbo civ and yes they are fast.

Jason's civ is a mugen civ and was built with that intention over many years. It is a totally different vehicle to a turbo civ. I would also quite gladly say it would kill a 9psi civ on a circuit hands down.
Also with the nitrous kit, it is not just a bottle in the boot. It is the full deal. If you have nitrous in a vehicle it is allowed to be used for drag strips and other car events and must have the release valves to take it off for street driving. So learn your facts first.

Anthonys civ is also well set up and could corner under power at speeds you could only dream of.
The engine conversion is different and well done. Two reasons that make it a very good car.

As stated before they would not be featured in a magazine if they were not good.

I have been in many civs, these two included. They are not slow, they are fast and probably the nicest civs that i have seen.

that brings me to my final point.

Don't bag out other people's cars.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message   By mr annoying (202.139.64.33) on Friday, March 30, 2001 - 07:42 pm:

I would just like to say that I apologise for sounding like a complete arsehole wanker.
It is just that I was hoping that they might see this discussion and relies that I feel the same way about their cars as the do about mine (its along story).
Also, yes I was not very specific with what I said that is because I was in a hurry. In addition, it is probably true in regards to the cars being able to cope at high speeds around corners but that is only the cars not the drivers. How do I know this I know a person that they gave shit to about his car (which is pretty close to stock standard) and he absolutely whipped their arse around corners.
So all I have to say now is that I said the things about their cars (not because I think their cars are shit because I know there not). But because I coped the same shit, and so did many others from them...

Which month's issue are we talking about? I couldn't believe it, but a bookstore in town
(middle of knowhere Washington State, USA) gets these magazines. The only problem is that they cost $10 US. I thumbed through a couple they had, but didn't see any old Civics.

Hmm, let me think about this for a little bit. I don't know how to put something on my web page for downloading. If anyone can help me out let me know. Or if anyone can do this I will send them all and they can post them. I am afraid I cannot post them on my Web page for all to see as this is probably a breach of copywrite, even sending them out probably is.

Because these are such large files it is hard to send them out. I get my inbox full of returned emails with huge attachments.

Any suggestions?
