Hey all,
I have a '76 Honda Civic CVCC 1200(?). It's me and my roommate's project car. I was just dinkin' around on e-bay when I discovered that there are some pretty cheap motor setups in there.
I was just wondering what motors can be put into the CVCC compartment? The one I was curious about is an '88-'89 DOHC Acura Integra motor with tranny. Also a 1.5L '86 CRX motor/tranny.
What would be the problem with converting these motors to carbeuration and slapping them in a CVCC? Would the linkage be transferrable? What about the drive shafts?
If the tranny didn't work because of drive-shaft stuff, would the 1200 tranny bolt up to one of these motors?
I'm new to the CVCC thing, so bear with me.
Thanks everybody.

try the keyword search. this subjuct has been gone over in many, many threads. also i can see youre aprehension toward EFI, but with one of those motors i'd just leave it in until it went south. i beleive the swap with a new motor like that would include at least motor mount changes and a bit of firewall hammering.

I have absolutely no problem with EFI, I'd prefer it actually, I just figured it would be a hassle to swap over all the computer stuff.
I'm used to modern Chevy V8's that require quite a bit of computer work to swap in an EFI.
I'll try the search too.
