I was recently browsing civic pages online here and noticed someone mentioned that the first gen civics had 13 or 14 different options for alloy rims. Is this true and is there anywhere I can go to see photos of them? Ihave a set of rims that came with my car but am not sure if they are honda rims or not! Any input would be appreciated

There were only two factory alloys from Honda for 1g Civics and Accords (same bolt pattern)
Both of them are found on this site in the Gallery, 2nd or 3rd from the top of the page, Micheals 79 Civic. The other is a 6 point star on Jims dark green Civic. I have a good shot of the 6 point star under the "first Generation Accord" thread.

Sorry to correct you , but ... there were at least 5 stock OEM accessory alloy wheels that were designed for, or will fit (i.e. first gen. accord) the first generation 73 - 79 civic.

The first set (4 spoke) was designed for the 73/74 , the second set (20 fin turbine) was for the 75, the third and fourth sets (6 diamond shaped spoke - 12", and 6 spoke 13" - on Richard's car) were for the 76/77 and the last will fit all model years (exclusive to my car - came from the first Honda Civic sold in Canada - straight from Dalt's Honda in Toronto). give me a few days and I will post the pictures from the Honda brochures.

sorry... make that 6.... the 6 triangle spoke 13" that came from the first gen. accord too !!! they are on Jim Pietras' green civic

i want those accord alloys really bad.
i just found a guy with a set of those 20 fin, 78 alloys. is anyone interested? he wants $150 obo. they are in perfect shape. i'm in portland oregon, if anyone whats to know.

there's a datsun 1200 up the street with those '73 alloys. wish datsuns had the same bolt pattern. i do like the accord ones better though, and they're 13"'s, so thats a major plus.
also that guy has about 6 what he says are good cylander heads. all i know is that none of them are 1200 and theres 4, 2 port heads and 2, 4 port heads. i'm getting the specifics on all the heads later this week.

David, just check eBay regularly for those 79 accord rims. I found a pair cheap, months ago, but am still checking for more. If I find a pair I'll let you know. They are nice.
