Has anyone seen the crower billet rods for the 1200? Go to http://www.crower.com/import.html
B93743 Honda 1237cc 5.065" 1.693" 0.856" 0.669" (17mm)
Pity they don't list the 1332 rods, I am sure they would make some up though.

typo, that should read 1335

#B93742 Honda 1342cc .436" 1.693" 0.897" 0.748" (19mm) 0.710"
Are these the rods? Unfortunately I can't see many people paying so much.

Hey Charles,
I have talked with crower and they do have the 1300 rods. They are very heavy as well as expensive.

No, the 1342 came out much later and the rods are much longer.
Sure it is a lot for rods but it depends on the engine you are building. A 12000rpm monster would need these sort of rods.

At 12k I'd get something lighter than Crowers.

How heavy Todd?

I'm not sure of the exact weight, but an engine builder I know says they're too heavy for very high rpm usage. He builds GT-5 engines so I trust what he says. They are billet steel after all. I'll find out the exact weight if you want.

Billet steel can often be stronger and lighter than the cast equivalent. Especially with flywheels and the like. On the whole the Honda rods are pretty damn good except for stretch. The 1335 rods stretch more than the 1200 rods and 8000rpm seems to be the limit. Be interesting to find out how much heavier they are.
