What is the problem??? I broke my damn doorhandle last week so I went and got a new one, so far so good. I got the new one off the junker no problem but do you think I can get the busted one off my car? nope! Is there a special tool to get the rod outta the actual handle? Ive tried just prying it out but Im just screwing up that little plastic bushing that keeps the rod from falling out of the handle. GRRRR Ya sure and I want to change an engine when I cant even change a frikin door handle????

If you look at the door with the door panel off, you will see the weather shield, and a couple of round taped off area around the door handle area. One of the taped off area is an access hole to the rod. If you take a long screwdriver and wedge it between, then use the doors "access hole" as leverage you should be able to pry it off. Good luck

I did that job, and the little nylon snap ring did get smashed a little, but hell, that space is very tight to work in. The parts are all back on, and the ring is holding things fine. If you need to beef up the ring some, you could use some epoxy on it prior to installation and then use a knife to cut the epoxy down to the right size.
Good luck, and don't get too physical with those handles, as they will break on you.
