Any possible substitue for door and window seals? Other than the expensive new factory peices or worn out yunk yard rubbers? Has anyone ever played with the idea of home made seals.. if so what did you use. Thanks guys.

I've played with the Idea but never really did much. But I always see different shapes of weatherstripping in JC whittney catalogs. You may want to check them out. I've never kept a car that long to fix the rubbers. But my wagon's rear hatch seal is leaking exhaust in the car when the windows are open! So it looks like I'll be fixing that

The JC Whitney rubbers are OK for a cheap bang-up job for door seals. I had to buy two different styles of rubber...if you look at the orginal piece you can see that the rubber has a different shape on the top/back than it does from the bottom/front. For 10$ or so it does a hell of a lot better than crappy wrecking yard seals that have been baking for the past who-knows-how-long.
I myself am going to do things right and get the factory Honda ones once I repaint, as I did my JCs in a hurry and they look like shit.

Did you know you can use 2nd gen door seals? I've only had one that didn't seem to fit right. So I sliced the bottom in the middle and used it anyway.
