I want to add the fuse box that I found on my porch into the wiring o' my 79 to add extra circuits. Could I do this by running the main hot wire to the charge lead wherew that big fuse is, and the main ground wire to ground for all constant hot circuits? How would I be able to get ig hot circuits? Thanks, Tony T.

If you run one side to ground and one side to +ve you will have no spare wires, not to mention a bun't out fuse box. One side in a linked fusebox can go to +ve (hot as you've called it) BUT it depends on when you want it to be active (akll the time, acc on, ign on. If you want them to be live the whole time sure just wire the whole positive side to main fuse, but if you want it under dash and done properly then tap into the line ins for the original fuse box. You will find three types of power source (mentioned above).

Just remember the other side of the fuses never go to ground, they go to whatever you want to power (remember this is just like an extension lead that still has power, if you put it to earth you are effectively shorting out the circiut, your fuses will blow first though.
