damn fine wheels and paint. but i feel its time for new springs. the tough wheels and grasshopper suspension dont exactly compiment each other. how fat are those tyres? i had no problem with negative camber when i dropped mine on it's arse with the stock wheels,, but when it came to my fats (185's) only half the tyre made proper contact... left patches half the width of the tyre. now with stock height suspension and great shocks, i own a F1 car! did i hear someone say something about lowering 1-3/4" is as much as you can go without having to correct camber?

The light weight of the car means that you have very little compression of those HD springs. A standard civic has maybe 1-1.5 inches of static compression (ie when you fit it into the strut) then it picks up and extra few inches of dynamic compression as you lower the jack to the ground. In cars with lowered HD springs you can have zero static compression and only find you pick up an inch or so of dynamic compression when you drop it onto the ground. This is when short bodied struts with short shafts come in.

That is why your car even with short springs still begs to try out in the Baja ;)

I am in heaven seeing that. :) My car was that same original brown once too. :) But it hadn't looked that good since the mid 1980's. :( Some say I was stupid repainting my car brown with white stripes, but I thought it complimented the car's character. I think I am going all flat black this year still. I will let you all see soon. :)
