I was just give a set of KYB struts. They were supposed to be for the '78 Civic CVCC (he owned a hatchback). He put on his front set but says he never got around to the back. The reason is clear: Where the rear stuts would "normally" slip into the wheel hub/spindle sleeve and be captured with a pinch bolt, there is a saddle with a couple bolt holes on each side. Where there is usually a u-shaped bracket for the brake line to slip into and be clipped, there is a full bracket with an "oversized" hole that it appears the brake fitting would fit through, then be held in place with the clip.
If this description fits anything you're familar with I'd love to hear it. I've got an unused set and would gladly sell them, but I don't know the model they're for...not my '78 or '77 and it doesn't match anything in my '77 Accord factory manual.
Anyone?

Those fit the 1200 model...not the 1500CVCC.

FOR SALE: ununsed KYB struts for '78 1200. Make me a reasonable offer; I'll find out shipping and that way they don't go on eBay. Shipped from Seattle.
Scott

Hay scott... I have talked to ya before... I am also located in Seattle... I would be interested in the shocks if the price is right... What do you want for them? Throw a price at me...! I have a 79 1200 so should be no problem fitting.

Thanks,
T

Scott, I live in Vancouver. I'd like those struts. Name a price, I can drive down and pick them up.

First shot to Travis...if he doesn't want them then our Northern Brother farfromanything gets second choice. Will keep y'all posted if the struts don't go.
KYB says they are 75-79 1200's, or 77 1500, but I think he's wrong on the 1500 deal. Maybe not; I'll go see what's under my parts car.

Lawrence, I'm at work, but can get you that item number off the strut when I get home. Mind you, this strut may not be in production and so the number may mean very little.

Wish I had a digital camera so I could post a pic.
