Hi guys, firstly if you could respond to this via email it would be helpful, as sometimes I cannot read all the posts - figliola@xtra.co.nz . I believe Richard is having some problems with the board, Good luck with that Richard.

Ok, there are a couple of us here in New Zealand who have noticed that grey whitish oil under the oil cap and on the walls on the rocker cover. However I have spoken to the other person about this, they have not blown the head gasket, and I don't think that I have because I have not noticed any other symptoms (Bubbling water, smoke, etc.) Can you help us fix the problem? I am going to do an oil change, just don't want to have to repeat this all the time I find the same grey oil.

Thanks all

I would be very careful if I were you for anti-freeze and engine oil don't mix, (found out first hand!). One good thing about the whole situation is that I recived a chance To hand work my whole engine (this would be my first time, on a rebuild).
The enigine is starting to look nice and clean and I'm polishing the intake and exsaust ports and sanding the vales to a smooth finish (not too smooth, like a golf ball???) making them a tad bit smaller in the process. Every thing should be stock ex. for the hand work and the 1300 crank and rods.
I would have wrote an e-mail but I haven't had an address in six mounths.
If you don't know about combustion chamber compresstion testing using a gauge find out and do It soon or there will be no Civic.
I've been there too! You don't want to end up diving a ford tempo like I did.
I've moved on from tempo to pontiac 6000 (2.8mpfi ooh!!) I also have a beater 85 CRX witch is falling apart.
anyway you prably don't care any more
ANYWAY good luck!

Hehe Hay I drive a tempo too. While my civic is being built (by me of course). But hay it's fun... I lowered it about 4-5"... LOL... it is crazy.
