Does anyone know what model/year honda 1200 had the mirrors mounted on the fenders? Was it the RS? Any idea how many were put into production/imported to the US?

It was only the RS, which I don't think was ever imported in the States.

The RS was never imported to the us , but from what I remember, my civic, I had in japan, had the rear view mirrors on top of the fenders as well. We also never got the 4-door model. Also my 76cvcc I had in japan had the smiley face front end , like our 74 and 73 we got here in the us. Any other cvcc's i've seen were unique to the cvcc's. The one I owned in japan was were I fell in love with these little cars , and discovered the fun with junkyards. P.S. I was stationed in Okinawa for two years.
