I just put my '79 CVCC engine into a 1980 accord. I have everything done but the carburator. The vacuum line diagrams aren't exactly the same, any advice? It was my first engine swap and I was impressed that I did it without breaking anything. Anyways, any help would be apreciated.

Wouldn't the lines from the civic engine to the civic carbs be the same as if you had it in the civic still? If so... then just hook it up as if it were still in the civic, using the stock civic cvcc diagram... Just an idea.

Another question, what year, and what models came with the VTEC engine?

It depends on the country. Japan started the B16A (first every VTEC, 160hp 1.6L) from 89-91. But for america they did not start coming around for a couple more years.

Actually VTEC first started appearing in Honda F1 engines in the early eighties, but not under that name. The first production engine to use VTEC was in the NSX.

Yeah but F-1 is not production.. And I dought anyone is gonna get their hads on one. The NSX did not appear until 1990... where as the B16A was 89... Or so I have heard... I even heard a magazine make a point that the B16A was the first....

Yep B16A was in the first SIR CRX EF8 (9/1987), then the integra 4/89 and the civic SIR 9/89. All in Japan of course.
VTEC didn't hit Australia until the 90s.
