I have a 1974 civic and access to a 1982 accord. Will the 5 speed from the accord fit the civic?
I believe the accord has a 2300cc in it. Help I need to shift to 5th!!!!!!!

In a word ... no.
Easiest way to get 5 gears is with a 5-speed from a second gen (80-83) civic ... bolts straight in.

An old Accord (1st gen) will fit, but you will need to grind a piece off here and there to fit the bigger flywheel and clutch. It's also a hydraulic clutch... I have used it, but it was a pain to use with cable-clutch. The gearing is also much shorter, I had the feeling. The clutch did work good though, it was either go or no go.
I'm not really sure which Accord it was off, but I believe the first one...
Anyways, look for an EN-box (80-83), it is the best way to go.
