I am sorry to say the Peter Duggan, a well respected 1200 owner has passed away. He owned the white civic featured on the Racecraft Webpage. We re-assembled the civic and took him for one last blat 2 days before he died. Sorry I have been slow to reply to emails in the last few weeks.

Charles

Peter favorite things in life were racing and fast cars. He had raced in most categories of racing and had been the race mechanic for a lot of decent racecars until he became a pilot. He was 56 yrs of age and developed his little civic over the past 15yrs. The car had been off the road for the past 2yrs as he got all the final parts for it (he had lexan windows made up for it by and aircraft windscreen manufacturer). Unfortunately he never got round to fitting it all. I gathered all the bits up and threw them in the engine bay and did all the things necessary to get it back on the road. The car is ballistic but I am now detuning it for daily road use. If you have ridden a powerful motorbike you would have an idea of the cars "on road feel". The transition to boost is seemless and the power is terrifying. It has road legal race tyres and the things performance around the twisties is pretty unbelievable. One of the last things Pete did was make up solid mounts for the motor. I had to cut these out as there was just too much vibration and noise for a road car. We are fitting an Autronic ECU to it to replace the MOTEC, as the new Autronic has traction control. This was the last thing Pete wanted one to it to finish it. But a car like this will never be finished.

Hi Charles and Duggan family.
I wanted to say I feel for the sorrow and separation you and your friend’s family are going through right now. I am not a ”religious” person in the strong sense, but I do believe that whatever force that binds two people closely together in this life, whether it be friends or family, is much too strong to be separated by death. You will see your friend again.
