OK, yesterday I got totally fed up with all the unfinished cars I have... I cannot get rid of all the rust on my first generation in a decent way, and I don't have the money to get it done by someone else! Here in Holland looking for a decent old civic is pretty much something that takes months and months of patience.. I also have a bottom-rusty CRX87, with no papers though, no driveshaft and no muffler! I have the 1300 83 civic, it's just about naked, and almost ready for the wreckers... So I now have sooooo much stuff for a first gen, but I want a car that is decent to start with! I am sick of the rust-demon. I also have the 1.6-16v engine with box in great condition, the whole CRX interior is in great shape! The CRX would be a good fix-her-upper but I can't see myself driving something that says "here I come, here I go" as a daily driver! I'm too much into small cars that look cute. And I don't have the papers, the owner is somewhere in the Carribean, and his cousin is looking into it......carribean style, which means I keep calling and he keeps saying: "Tammaraw Man..". So I'm not getting anywhere with the CRX, can't get it fixed (and sold) without papers... I can however, make money taking the thing apart, make lots of friends happy, and be left with the engine+box! This is the way I'm going I think..
So now I want a decent car and this is what I'm thinking... I can get a Jazz (City) in much better shape for much less money than a civic, and I can get one today! I thought those Jazzes took the old civic 1200 engine. If I am wrong, someone please tell me! So what I think is it should be easy to get all my EN/EB-stuff into the Jazz, making for a more surprising car than the civic is! So is it true that the Jazz takes the EB/EN engine without major mods?? If so, I'll get one just so I have a decent car while waiting for my first generation in good condition! The one I have I can let some family use for another year or two before it is ready for the wreckers.. I hate the thought of it, but sometimes you have to admit your losses (damn)!
Anyone know of the 1.6DOHC fitting a Jazz??
Well let me know what you think...and don't give me the getting off the right path stuff, cause I aint, I just need something cheap and fun (and rustfree) while I'm looking for a real nice civic. And if it takes all the parts I have lying around, it would be a blessing indeed.

I know, I'll call it my KickAzz-Jazz!

So please share some thoughts, and be merciful!

Maybe there are some old rust-free Civics in Spain, or southern France, just waiting for someone who cares about them...

Hey Nikolaj, Believe it or not there is a Jazz/City in NZ with a 2.2L Vtec DOHC and these have smaller engine bays than a civic! No that is a kickass jazz! I would just leave the standard city motor in the city (1231cc, 75hp) that is 50% more power than a standard civic motor.

Is that standard city motor a CVCC?? Here it is, and we never got civic CVCC's, I mean the 1200/1300. I did the famous keyword search on the whole city thing and found that if you have a CVCC you can stick on the manifold of the ER turbo. Taking the 1300 second gens CVCC with ER Turbo manifolds seems to do quite good. But I have my first gen running again and the first laps around the hood made me re-think the whole thing... I just love these first gens, and I forgot how much. Today I chunked in the CRX seats, which are great and easy to adapt. I also have the CRX DOHC engine, so I'll have to make up my mind on what route to take, engine-wise.. For the meantime my car is good enough and I should be patient and on the lookout on vacations and stuff. I'm going to Spain soon, so who knows...

Started of with a worked ER, big turbo etc then went to the H22A. God knows how he stuffed it in. Has a problem with cracking strut towers but goes like the clappers.
