What do you think? Image isnt very good but you get the gist. Anyway its not really 12:22am, its only 4:30pm for me over here right now, so I dont know why it says I posted this at that time?

That's pretty cool. Could you do that with, say, a set of Konig GT-Rs?
By jms (144.59.13.2) on Monday, July 16, 2001 - 06:04 pm: |
sure, got a pic of them?

Sweet, that looks like the Konig GT-Rs. But they look heavy, 17in?
By jms (144.59.13.2) on Tuesday, July 17, 2001 - 02:59 am: |
ps, do you have a point of contact as to where can you get those in AU? 160 AU$ is equal to about 80 US$ not bad, what size?

yeah, ahm... i have mentioned these wheels for sale in other places on the site, but it didn't seem to stir as much excitement as i predicted. they are 15" wheels made by WAW in south africa - wheelcraft alloy wheels www.waw.co.za that is their company website. i doubt you would have to buy these in australia and ship them over. i'm sure that they would have a contact in america somewhere. but the australian wheel place that sells them (just down the road from my house)---> this is there site www.magwheel.com.au creative web address also be sure to realise that when i grafted those wheels onto the pic of my car, i couldn't resist but make them fill the entire wheel well. while 15" wheels wont look like the ones in the picture, still a helluva lot better than anything near 12".

Couldnt find anything here. I went to the WAW website though. They have some sweet wheels in 4X120PCD up to 17in! I like the 'Orbits' but they dont have 120PCD, damn.

Would 16 or 17in rims be to heavy on a stock motor??
By electricks (202.129.65.51) on Wednesday, July 18, 2001 - 05:36 pm: |
i mean email waw and see if they have a dealer where you are. they don't have much written on their site.

arr ok. i thought that only the v-tec and the prowler were avail. in 4x120pcd, or was that just because i was only interested in 15" wheels.

New guy here. I just found this site and am excited to learn some cool stuff. My first CVCC was a 76. I had it pro lowered with some trick 3D - 5 star brushed aluminum wheel from JRC. they were 12 X 5 and with the Perelli P7 worked unlike anything I have had since. Cost was $100 each, that is tires and wheel for a total of $800. By using these with a pro-lowering job, I was 3.5 off the ground and had full suspension. I will see if I can scan a pic in for you guys.

One other thought from the new guy. On my second hatch I put 15" on and was terrible disatified with the speed reduction, and the rigid ride. This car was loaded too. Custom header, dual carb.... the hole 9 yards. I think of these things a go-carts. The fun is in the handeling not the speed.

New guy, welcome and post a pic. Also, what is JRC? Electricks, if you go to the 'fitment guide' on that website it lists the PCDs many where 98-139 so I assume that means 98 through 139 and not just 98 and 139. Maybe I am wrong. ps. speed is fun too.

They were an accident in the finding, but I will track down what they were and let you know. I will also do my best to scan that pic in. I got rid of the car a while ago.

jms, they mean not just those two, but the whole range. also you can get any offset you like aswell. i checked out the wheels shop yesterday, they dont look as cool in real life, less sharp than the picture suggests. also, WAW does not have dealers in america.
