Due to the gas prices and my damn expedition, my wife wants an econocar. I have owned 1st gen before (76 3-door) and I wonder about the wagons. I have found a 78 w/ no rust and in good running condition for $200. It has all the parts, but hasn't had any TLC. Is it worth starting from ground zero? Or should I look for something a little more refined? I know parts are not the easiest to find. Ryan Schassen \mail{ryan@schassen.com,ryan@schassen.com} (no user name yet)

I would like to get one to Holland...it would be the only one! No rust and 200 dollars...?! I have a friend in the States right now,....and I'm starting to think about getting a first gen from your shores. Down here a first gen in good shape easily gets you about 3000-5000 dutch guilders. You guys have any tips on where to find them in the region of Virginia??
