I am looking at this 78' 1200 hatchback. I've never owned a honda but I know they can run forever. this particular one has 94k miles, 2nd owner, recent body work done. and he is asking $600. I don't have any pics but if this is in any kind of shape how much does it cost to keep these things running? Where should I look for weak spots, and questions to ask. Tranny, engine???? Thanks Gregg in Maine

For $600 how can you go wrong?

Hey Gregg Early Hondas are fairly low cost to keep going and most OEM parts are still available. As far as weak spots go, good questions to ask would be : head gasket replaced? timing belt replaced?camshaft?clutch,CV axles, wheel bearings, struts, ball joints. These cars are fun to drive and if you've never owned a Honda I doubt that you will be disappointed once you do!

SORRY I HAD TO RENAME YOUR TITLE WITHOUT THE APOSTROPHE AFTER THE "78" BECAUSE IT WAS MESSING UP THE JAVASCRIPT ON THE BOARD.
