Good day all. I have the aforementioned carbs installed on my '78 1200, and I believe they are set a bit rich (full throttle emits black clouds out back, as well as SIGNIFICANT bogging/stuttering when depressing accelerator pedal more than 3/4ths of the way down - which is to say, this is defeating the purpose of having installed the little dears). Can anyone out there guide me to which screw(s) on the carbs are the mixture adjustment screws? I have that exploded-view parts number scan posted to this board earlier to refer to as well, if someone can refer me to the part number from that scan, this may be quicker... Also, any advice in general as to how to adjust them "correctly", i.e. how does one know when they are "where they are supposed to be"? Thanks in advance, this group is great!

They are identical carbs as what Honda GL1000 Goldwing motorcycles used('75-'77), so maybe a Honda Motorcyle shop can help you with info, or you might luck out and find a mechanic who is very familiar with them. The one close to me was nice enough to let me photocopy the pertinent pages from their manual. But if your car is running, they might find it to be fun just to see it... depends on the people you are dealing with.
