My 1200 EB1 blows smoke at start up which I've been told is valve stem seals but to get them fixed I've been quoted AUS $300. Will the EB3 head with the big valves go onto my block and is the power increase noticeable.
Can any mods be done on my EB1 head that will help power but keep reliability. Nothing crazy - I'll be keeping the bottom end standard for now.

Yes EB3 head will fit but you will lose power. Do some searching, this topic has been covered many many times before.

Had a look in the past threads. I know now why I'd lose power. Could'nt find anything on worked EB1 heads though, is that because they can't be improved much or do you get more bang for your buck changing the crank,pistons,EB3 head etc?
