I have a 1974 Civic trunk model that I drive 100 miles a day it is stock with a 4 speed tranny. Love the car it is great to drive. My question is will anything off a 1981 Accord work on my Civic? The engine # is EK1-3510683 and the body # is JHMSM5424BC011606 It is a 5 speed. How much trouble am I looking at to swap the motors? And will any of the struts or brake system work? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks DannyC. Oh and by the way what does cvcc stand for?

CVCC = Compound Vortex Combustion Chamber - basically a "pre" combustion chamber where an initial slightly richer charge is ignited and then goes on to ignite the main (lean) charge in the cylinder. Basically an anti-pollution feature.

Search the back archives...the motor, and front brake rotor/calipers can be made to work, the intermittant wiper switch will fit etc.
