Hi,
I'm new here,I hope you'll help me out,I swapped my engine with a D15b engine, my problem is that the body is rusty, the mechanics have to put steel plates to strenghten the mount.I would like to know if there is a better way to strenghten it,coz my mechanics told me that I can't drive my car hard or my engine will fall.I own a 1977 4 door version of 1st gen honda civic,it's originally come with 1488cc engine(non cvcc).
I changed my seat to Sparco Sprint front and planing to add an Autometer monster tach.I'll post my car pics went it's completed.

Aside from another body in better shape and swapping everything over I think your stuck.Once rust is that bad your hooped.I think bracing plates/brackets is all you can do.Good Luck.

try and find a civic in a yard that is the same year and cut and weld. other than that, Is it the front and rear crossmember that holds the engine that is rusted? I've repalced my front one because it rusted from the inside out on my 79 cvcc!
