HELP!!!!! I have a &^$#*$ up tie rod bolt and need to replace it on my 79 CVCC. I took a look at my 78 1200 to see if they were the same. Luck has it, they are different. Will a tie rod or the entire steering rack from a 1200 body style(78) fit a CVCC(79)? HELP!!!! My engine swap is done and would love to get behind the wheel. This is the last step. What is the best way to break free that bolt if just the ends are swapable (cool word hey!)I am staring at my Haynes' with a wrinkled forhead. Please give me the anwser I want.

I don't think there is any difference between the racks,in fact the outer tierods from early (1st Gen Accords) are the same too. It is almost a must to loosen the tierod bolt before you bust it free from the upright, other than that, a longer wrench handle for more leverage will help.
