You may want to get new mounts and weld them in if posible, as you do not want the motor coming out on you. Or I guess could also reinforce them with more steel, and welding. To post pics, click on the "Formatting" link to the left of this screan (The left Frame) and it will explain in detail how to post your pictures onto this board. If you still canot get it to work, feel free to e-mail me the images, and I will either post them on here for you, or on my little Civic 1200 page. (TeamTHP@aol.com).

Car Looks good travis.

I was looking at welders the other day and I though you might know something about them. I saw a number of them for around $100 on ebay. Do you recommend a certain size or type of welder? The biggest welding that I'll have to do is weld the engine mount.

It's going to be a while before I'm able buy one, but this is how I operate. I wait and study like a cat catching a mounse. When I know enough about my project, I'll get the job done. I don't want you guys to think I'm all talk about my electric project car. Some day, it will be mine!

Hehe, I know just how it is.. That is why it is taking me a while. Anywho.. $100 shouldn't be too bad, just a half desent size, the smaller will just take some more work. As long as it is not a huge project.

And Good Luck :)

Yeah, and the house it was bought from was mine in Victoria. :)
Can't remember the fellows that came and grabbed it, but I let most of my stuff go.
There are three of those noses in existance. That one I sold, another on a chopped top civic in victoria, and another one that was blown off the one I had. Any others have been made since.
I just might know where there's a lamb design body kit too. lol :)

Take care
Shawn

The car has changed hands twice since being bought off the original owner.

Funny if you knew the entire story behind the car. I was going to buy it, but being as it sat for many, many years, a couple houses were built around it.

It ended up that the person who purchased it had to use a crane to lift it out of the previous owners back yard. It was almost cost prohibitive to buy it at that time. Now, I'm kinda kicking myself. If I found the car today, I would grab it in an instant.

A friend of mine worked for a bodyshop several years ago that the owner of the shop was the one who chopped the roof. It was dramatizing, he claimed, having to section the roof in many different area's in order to make it so.

The last time I had seen the car, it had been completely sanded down and was sitting outside a bodyshop. It looked gross.
Since, The new owner has it and has been working on it for several years. He has installed newer style flush door handles and roll bar/cage. I'm sure he has done more I am not aware of. I mean, hell, he works for the best race car fabrication shop in town.

I built the chop-top civic's head. It has a pretty nasty port profile job on it.

The current owner works for Lejeune Engineering, here in Victoria.

The car had the original fiberglass nose and a while ago he was trying to graft the lamb designs kit onto the car. This was the previous owner, and I believe since the kit has been parted with. To make that kit work with the nose would be difficult.

Anyway, yes, make a mold of that nose. I sold it cheap, but the demand was there. To be honest, I don't try and turn a profit on rare spares/performance, I would rather see it go to use than sit around and turn into baby ca ca.

Take care
Shawn

Yes they can do awesome things at lejeune thats a good place to work if your are doing a custom project like that civic. The last time i seen it on the road was about 1997 and it was yellow i think it had a sidedraft on it when i looked under the hood. Anyhow i hope it's finished soon so i can see it again .
