78 civic 1200, with stock engine, seems to be running out of fuel, replaced fuel filter, fuel pump (mechanical) and cleaned carb. still, when i drive it, i don't make it a mile and it quits. it seems to be a problem with the fuel tank. must have some rust in it also. anyone had similar problems?? i have no back seat, would a race fuel cell cure my problems, or create more with the fumes?? please help!! THANKS!!

Check rubber gas lines from tank, sometimes they have cracks!! sucks air. If going fuel tank still need to replace fuel lines!!
Could be water in tank also...
Do you still have points distributor, can be condenser mine was cutting off because wire was pinched and grounded.
