I am thinking about doing a d16y8 (sohc vtec) swap in my civic 1200. I was wondering if anybody had some info on this swap. I am also in the market for one of these motors, so if anyone knows of one, let me know.

I am located in WA. I am looking to do the swap and was trying to find someone that has done it so I can know what to expect.

Lots and lots of cutting, grinding and welding. For the front crossmember, there are 2 schools of thought. 2low2go built a custom front crossmember, and I have HIGHLY modified the stock piece. Just about everything, including the exhaust system has had to be custom fabbed. Custom fuel system to be pieced together for high pressure fuel for the injection, and then the wiring for the computer (where I am at now)

It does fit, and can be done, but allot of time has to be spent to make it fit.

Have some pics of the install, e-mail me if you would like to see (I haven't been able to post yet, no time to figure it out)

Brian
