Hey guys check out this link:

My factory pistons are 72mm in the 1976 1200... Correct? Why wouldn't I be able to put 73mm pistons in it with slight boring? Or does this guy have his information fowled up.

CVCC 1488-1588 pistons are 74mm from factory.
The 70mm pistons are from early (73-74) only Civics. You cannot unbore a block so they are not useable in EB2's or EB3's.

Yes you can put the 1488CVCC pistons into an EB2 or EB3 block. The cylinder walls seem to hold up just fine. I used to think they were a little thin with that much overbore, but Charles H. has told me about the turbo'ed 1200 with this done.
The CVCC flat top pistons, a 1300 crank/rod set and an EB2 head gives just over 1400cc's and a 12:1 compression. That's exactly what I had in the white car. For a street motor I'd use the EB3 head for a compression ratio of around 9:1 and a smaller cam.

John S. Did you read what I wrote? I said nothing about deboring the block, just wanted to know if I could make the CVCC pistons work, since I can, we're on our way, thanks guys.

Hey Jacob,
Did you read what you posted? John was talking about the 70mm pistons in the link you provided.

I know.... I made no reference to the 70mm pistons in the link I provided. I was talking about... if you read what I wrote... the 73mm pistons he mentions in the auction.
Also, I felt kind of bad about what I wrote earlier, it was late, I just got done studying, I wanted to go home and go to bed. But, I decided to write a post instead... my bad, sorry guys.
Later
Jacob
