hey fellas. lots of good knowledge to soak up in one night. i think im the youngest on the board now as i am turning 20 in november. anyways.. i was seriously considering a 1g civic with a b16 or possibly the non-vtec b18 out of the ls integra. i still need lots of research to do but i was also concerned with suspension. i want a very stiff ride. full race spec. i plan on a full cage and all. also i read a lot of brake conversions but with the new axles wouldn't i be using different hubs and such which would mean it would be possible to use big brake kits for newer civics? well its getting late and i need to go to work in the afternoon, need to sleep all day!

For a stiff ride. Get the coils off of a first or second(?) generation civic wagon. Most guys put the wagon coils up front and the stock front coils out back. Then get some addco swaybars along with rebuildable struts with Koni inserts and you're set.
I'm pretty sure your brake theory is incorrect. But, I'm not sure so I'll just leave it at that.

No his brake theroy is correct when you do the 100mm bolt pattern conversion you ude the 1st gen spindle with the adapter plates for the caliper and a second gen hub and you can use like a whole bunch of differnt combinations of newer style rotors and calipers and i think justin has even used aftermarket crossdrilled rotors for a newer hond on his first gen
