does anyone know the size of these? b16a2 pistons and rods ...
seeing as the board has seemed a bit dry as of late, i thought it would be fun to stir it up a bit ..
i'm gettin' way ahead of myself and considering all the strange things i can do to my stock en1 motor (1335)
so, tell me what i can and can't do here!!
ALSO ..
any idea how many horses i have with a stock EN motor and a set of RS dual sidedrafts?
i want a stock looking monster!!
let the dreams begin ..

You would hit the water jacket if you tried to put those in a 1300.

Goldwing pistons, 72mm+ bore. Wiseco makes nice forgies. Don't use the bike rings, get some good 'car' rings. Get the 'S' head, cleanup casting flash, mugen r1 carmshaft, bugpack springs, header, rs carbs, lightened flywheel, balanced, electronic ignition, adjustable gear Retard -4, drysump. 145hp 7600rpm at wheels dyno.
Just my experience.
Take care
Shawn

COOL... But explain the -4 deg retard? I've always heard that retarding "don't work" What were the other settings looking like?
One thing i did was take a cam gear and went to a 'shop' and wouldn't chano the late model cam gears are the same size, just have rounded channels nstead of squared off ones. HHHHMMMMmm?
The same size as a Canadian accord/1g integra (both gears), accord USA, 1500 ED motors I stacked them all up and they all looke like one!

Hey Shawn,
I'm not trying to be a doubting Thomas, but that's a bit hard to swallow.

Hard to swallow is an understatement! There is no way you'd get 145hp at the wheels with those mods. You'd be talking 170-180hp at the flywheel ... which is more than you get out of a Mugen MF318. What you've described is a mildly worked engine (except the dry sump which would be worth a few ponies) from which I'd be very very happy with 100hp at the wheels.

Maybe they were ponies and not horses...
