I am wondering if the strut mounts at the top need to be replaced at the same time the struts are being replaced?

Is there a tool I need to use to disconnect the suspension stuffs from the struts? How about attaching them to new struts?

Can anyone recommend a good (and cheap) OEM replacement struts and strut mounts forthe 78 1200?
