so ive noticed my 79 1200 acts like crap when the fuel is below 1/4 tank.
i guess ive got some junk floating around down there and it clogs the fuel lines so bad that the car just chuggs and dies for a while.
would it be easier to just unbolt the tank and clean it?
or even better to redo the whole system.
by that im thinking since im going to bolt up a weber 32-36 and an electric fuel pump, and regulator, shouldnt i go ahead and reroute new fuel lines, (something like 3/8 in.) get rid of all the "extra" fuel system components under the hood, and give it a go?
for about $40 i could have a pretty basic but reliable system and not worry about this ever again.
all suggestions appreciated and thanks for all your info on previous posts

Most Radiator shops will clean your tank an coat it with a rust preventative prette cheaply. Your stock fuel lines are adequate for a normally aspirated 1200. But yes, do get rid of all the emissions 'crap' under the hood.
