hey all ..

i'm picking up a new cam from COLT CAMS in langely b.c. ..
i'm assuming that "while i'm at it" (there's a never-ending joke!!), i should get my head cleaned up .. since most of the threads here deal with EB heads, i was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on the details of working with an EN1 1335 motor ..
i believe the EB3 and EN1 head are virtually the same, so i'm not interested in a swap there ..
i still want compression good for street use, and i have lots of goof in higher revs due to my dual sidedrafts .. what bits should i simply "renew"
ideas?

EB3 same as EN1? I haven't heard that one before, enlighten me.

Take your work to someone that has a "Serdi" Or "Mira" style Seat cutter (this style of seat cutter produces a better seat and less run out than most grinding methods the exception being the Hall Toledo seat grinder) and have them do a performance valve job and blend the bowl and short side. While its apart You need to have the Oil seals replace and the valve stems and guides checked for wear. Do not enlarge the port just make it more efficient.

Be careful not to go to big with the cam duration as you will loose more on the bottom than you gain on the top end.

EN1 is a non USA engine, very similar to the Eb3.

hey all ..
picked up my cam today from geoff at colt cams its a c-518-s ..
... great shop, great folks .. he knows his stuff .. if you're looking for work to be done, give him a call. (good prices for all you americans ..)
hopefully will be putting it in in the next couple of days.
i'll let ya know how it goes.
