Can anyone tell me if the semi-auto gearbox on an EB1 Civic is the same as that fitted to 70's Accords and Preludes. My daughters box is about to give up the ghost and I can get a complete Accord (78 model I think) with good gearbox for $200. Barry

Gear ratios are different, and so is the bellhousing probably, but you should be able to make an Accord one fit.

I don't know where you are, but I know of a '76 Engine (Apparently reconditioned 1000kms ago) + Hondamatic gear box that is selling for NZ$175. Now in US$ it would be less than half that. Just shipping that might be a problem.
