If they are for the 1751 motors which only came in Preludes and Accords they will not fit in the civic's. Our fire walls are closer to the motor's. I have one and the angle of the down tubes is not steep enough.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Oscar Jackson MAY be making a tri-y copy of the RS exhaust...

Are they going to be just as expensive as his V-tech, coated, C.A.R.B. approved ones?
I've bought whole cars for less...

Remember you always get what you pay for. If you want quality merchandise you will pay for it... I just purchased some Doug Thorely headers for my 1965 Ford f100 big block $325.00 but they are the best...

There's nothing concrete, just rumors. Anyway, if his products are too expensive for you, make your own.

And some people wonder why nobody makes anything for these cars....... :)

I'd be willing to pay 300 bucks for a header, down here that's cheap! I wanna get something straight though.. This is what I thought: The header out front is Jackson Racing. The RS stays in and goes to 2 pipes where the original goes to 1. I have no idea what that Kirk header looks like..
Anyway, you're giving me the impression that you can buy a JR-header for 293 dollars...if so, where?
I'll pay that kind of cash only if I don't need to be putting a grinder on my car, and I want power! And if it aint legal, I'll just have to swap the whole system every year.

Nick, Your first thoughts are right. When JR decides to make a header, I'm sure this is the first place he will anounce it, along with the price.

I'm not wanting to piss you guys off. It's just that a company like his is big enough where he can say... Build this like that and it gets done. It's as simple as that!
Now if you've ever lived in SoCal (Southern California) You know that ANY manufacturing company there isn't paying 20.00/hr/bennefits for a person to tig weld up something. And have you ever looked at some of the prices these 'Honda Tuners' are charging these "Kids"? Just pic up a Turbo and High Tech mag and look what they are charging for most any 'hop up' item!
They are charging close to 600.00US for a set of 4 connecting rods!! You can buy a set of Oliver V8 ones for 400-500.00 (for any make V8!)
Don, I'm sorry but these cars are what he cut his teeth on in the racing realm. He even said that he wanted one for his son (if I remember reading right). And I wouldn't expect to pay 50.00 for a header, just a fair price!
He obviously knows that it isn't going to be a run of several thousand units, and if he's got one left, it's easy to make just several.
Ramon, those headers are really good, but mostly for street. But with a Cleveland motor or a punched 460, wait a year and then look for stress cracks if you run it hard! (especially if you have a crossover pipe)

Todd, I know it's just a rumor. But He's not going to do something if he can't make a big proffit! And If I remember, There are a couple of the people here that are trying to make some!
I have a Tuner friend that spent 15,000 on his 93 civic! And that's NOT including the car itself!
I know what you guys are saying, But Some of us have to budget for a couple of months just for a cam or weber etc.

Wow, somebody is realy misinformed and PO'ed.

I really want some of those 500 dollar Oliver rods, the last 5.0 Mustang set we bought was over 1K. Maybe you bought the old set we sold at the swapmeet. Did they drop in price by over 50% in 2 years?

If you realy want to know what JR is doing civic wise give him a call, Real nice guy. You will find out that some 1200 parts are thought about, nothing firm yet.

And last but not least, You do know how to type in and spell your name dont you?

Anonymous, you did make one good point though, nobodys going to make anything for free. They are in business to make a profit. Just like any other business, grocery, taxi,dr...etc. So if we do want aftermarket suppliers to take this market seriously we will have to be willing to spend the money it takes to make it feasable to market and make these products.

PS I checked the Oliver website. They havent droped in price (that profit thing again), so who's your dealer?

Pretty much anyone can have something like a header built as long as you are willing to pay a large price for a one of, or order say ten or twelve of them to get the price down.

Don, My sincerest appologies... I geuss I looked at the wrong add in the Circle Track mag I was reading!
And I'm not mad, PO'ed or upset with anyone here, just frustrated at some of the prices of easily made stuff that some people (like me) have to budget for a couple of months just to buy.
And The times i did talk to Oscar, he just said no "we dont make anything for the older hondas anymore" and put me on hold, So I didn't ask again. (but that was a long time ago) But he still wasn't as bad as Serg from A.T. Engineering
Look at Adrian, He sells those calliper brackets for a good and fair price and there is nothing wrong with that! It's the prices of some of these parts that gets me!

No sweat, Errol. :) Why are you posting anonymous?
Yep, even these Civics suck money, not near as bad as some of the other projects I got into though.
John made a good point though if we could get 20-30 people who had money all at once to buy one specific part then the price may go down a little. I wonder if we could get that many people interested at once with cash in hand?
