The color is called Biscayne Bay Blue. The picture doesn't do it justice.Hopefuully after christmas I'll have an updated photo. The body was completly sandblasted and a full(engine bay, jams, interior, undercoating, wax oiled) pro paint/bodywork.(all metal)This car will never rust!(even here in Canada)

So far Old Blueie(78 3dr 1200) has received a 83 EN1(with EB3 manifolds, carb and distributor) and 83 GN 5spd(replacing the original EB3 and Hondamatic) I've also added the deluxe gauge pack, roofrack, factory pioneer/honda am/fm stereo cassette and speakers,74 interior, new factory carpet,86 crx steering wheel,88 accord shift knob,81 accord steel wheels refinshed in gunbarrel grey,175-70-13 goodyears, new windsheild, new front struts and springs, new brake pads, shoes and wheel cylinders, new wheel bearings and probably more I'm forgetting. My future plans include a stroker, the brake and susepension upgrade and the 4x100 conversion.

What is different about the '74 interior? why did you choose it for your car? I'm asking because i am in the process of working on my interior in my '79 so far i have 85 accord buckets, deluxe gauge package, aftermarket shift knob... and so on I'm just curious why the '74 interior?

I went with the 74 interior mainly because of its near mint condition. Also because it's black. The original was blue.I don't think the factory produced a blue on black, only blue on blue.A couple small differences include the seat belts(slightly different design) and the window crank arms(chrome instead of the black plastic)also the dash(pullout headlight and wiper switches) and the steering colum(smaller cover and only the turn signal switch on the snorkel)My 74 parts car also supplied me with an emergency starting switch that mounts under the hood off the passenger strut tower.Ever seen one a these? Also, the 74 engine block has no casting numbers?(I know it's an EB2 though)The original owner told me the engine was replaced under warranty.

Ya I just picked up a 78 Hondamatic just for the black interior because my 79 had an ugly beige interior. I once had a 73 with that emergency starter switch, it was busted tho so i didnt keep it. I think i am going to want some of those chrome window handle crankers they were in up to 77 werent they?

Yes,the chrome handles are found in 73-77's.Also, they have the cool all red tail lights(with the chrome bands).Sweet score on the 78.I think the first gens only had 5 interior colors(blue, black, beige, tan and red)?Black is the best.
