as seen on the "for sale/wanted" page.

Hey Civicians,
I just got a 20' trailer and plan on taking a few of my Hondas from California to Georgia in January or February. Thing is, I'll have an empty trailer going from GA back to CA. If anyone needs to move a car or anything else "of size" from the Southeast (or anywhere along the way) to CA, I can hook ya up! Pass the info on if ya know anyone in need. I wouldn't ask for too much $, I'd just like to "supplement" the price in gas.

Hey Michael

Where are you moving to in GA? I'm in Cartersville, up in the Northwest corner. It's good to have another civic person out here in the southeast. Oh, once you get settled in let me know where the good junkyards are where you're at......we have plenty out here but just a few of them have any old civics.

Hey Eric,
I'm heading back to the Macon area which is where I'm originally from. The Air Force moved me out to CA and I've been here 6½ yrs now. I'm ready to slow my pace down again and move back to the South. I'm hoping to get stationed at Robins AFB, but if my request isn't approved I'll be getting out and moving back to Macon regardless. I'm afraid most 'yards out there might not have the Civics too. There is at least one or two each trip in every yard I've been to here, but I don't know how many survived even this long over there. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Hey again Micheal,

Do you mean Dobbins AFB? cause thats close to where I am. Geroria gets it's share of rain, but my low mileage '79 1200 was found rust free in a junkyard for $300, so there's a little hope. The only rare goodies I have yet to locate are a 1st gen wagon, wagon spindles (I ordered out for those), the "good" 5spd trans, delux gauges, etc. 1200's (especially early ones) are scarce too but theres heaping plenty of everything else. As soon as I get the time I am going to take a roadtrip and check out some of the places farther south from here. Well, Talk to you later.....Eric

Nope, I mean Robins AFB. Located in Warner Robins about 10 miles South of Macon.
My interest in the 1G Civics didn't peak until I was out here in CA, so I don't really remember what's out there in GA. Like you said, at least there's hope though. I wouldn't call it "plentiful" but I'm hoping I haven't been too spoiled by the availability of parts here!

USAF, Oorah!
86-90 that was my life (yep I'm an old 33), lots of good people and memories. I left for basic the same week I turned 18 and never came home for three years (european tour).

I miss all the action at times, but I dont miss the war games at 3am in the snow.

Allright I will stop mumbling now.

Hi Darrell,

Right now I'm a C-5 Flying Crew Chief. It's pretty cool.... I get paid extra to go all over the world. But, when the plane breaks (which is often) I'm stuck with it 'til it's fixed. Feb will be 7 yrs for me. Where are you?
Mike

I'm in Maryland.
Andrews AFB. (home of air force one)

Been to Keesler(Mississippi), Nellis(Las Vegas), Osan(Korea), and Andrews.

I'm not sure if you've heard of PMEL (precision measurement equipment laboratory). I know you've seen certification stickers on torque wrenches. Well that's me. I calibrate and repair electronics, torque, pressure, temp... If it can take a measurement, we make sure it's accurate. One of our main establishments is at Robbins AFB.

Don what did you do in the Air Force?

Darrell

My AFSC was a 6025? I don't remember the last #.
The funny thing was I went to a DOD/Army tech school in Aberdeen, and then when to my first duty assignment (Rhien-Main Franfurt) only to find out that the AF had abolished my AFSC and the 435th APS did not know I was coming. So I got stuck doing airfreight on normal days and airbase ground defense on mobilitys. The good thing is I got to see most of Europe, one air base at a time. Because I knew most of the air crews, getting stuck on a C-130/141/5 as a courier helped me see more when I was on leave. Fun times there was lots to do, every body was busy.

After that I got a special duty assignment to the 2951st Combat Logistics Support SQ with the A-10. Not as much fun, mostly sitting around waiting for a war, No day to day job. I worked about 5 days a month, when I was not on TDY; this is one reason why they don't exist anymore.
