On sunday I had a look at an Accord with an EG 1600 in it. I could see that the lower mount and the mount at the No.1 end of the motor will line up alright. What I'm wondering about is the torque rod. The accord had an adjustable rod where we have solid rod. Which one can I use?

I have tried to fit the adjustable one because the rubber on my solid was shot. The adjustable would not fit, so I ground down the rubber insert on the accord unit. What you want to do next is drill out rubber so there is a chance for the unit to flex. Mine works great, but I think it has less flex than the old unit. Hope it doesn't fatigue my firewall mount welds.

I totally forgot to mention that I then took the modified rubber guts from the adjustable rod, and hammered it into the original fixed rod. Plan on grinding the unit thinner as well as smaller in diameter. Good luck.

Combine the two, then you will have an adjustible 1200 rod.
